CARE
Eyewear care is critical to protecting your glasses and keeping them in use as long as possible, so try to avoid the following:
- Do not use paper towels or clothing
To clean your glasses properly, these materials are often rough and can leave tiny scratches on the surface that will cloud your vision.
- No aggressive cleaning agents
Do not use strong chemical cleaning agents such as glass cleaners or household cleaners, as they can damage the coatings on your lenses. These coatings serve to reduce glare and protect the lenses from scratches.
- No rough cleaning movements
Avoid aggressive or rough cleaning movements. Do not rub too hard, as this can damage the lenses. Instead, use gentle, circular movements with a microfibre cloth.
- Avoid high temperatures
Never expose your glasses to extreme temperatures, be it heat or cold. Extreme temperature changes can damage the frame material or lead to fogging.
- Do not place on the lenses
Never place your glasses on a hard surface with the lenses facing down as this can cause scratches. Always use a glasses case to store them safely.
- Avoid contact with salt water
Salt water can damage the coatings on your lenses. If you go to the beach, rinse your glasses with clear water immediately after contact with salt water.
Steps to clean your glasses:
- Wash your hands
Before you clean your glasses, you should wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. This prevents dirt or grease from being transferred to the lenses.
- Rinse glasses
Rinse your glasses carefully under warm, running water. This helps to remove coarse dirt and dust.
- Use an eyeglass cleaning spray or mild detergent
Spray a small amount of eyeglass cleaning spray on both sides of the lenses or put a drop of mild washing-up liquid on the lenses.
- Clean the lenses
Use a clean, high-quality microfibre cloth to gently clean the glasses. Start in the centre of the lenses and work your way outwards to remove dirt and fingerprints. Avoid applying strong pressure to prevent scratches.
- Dry the glasses
Check the glasses for residue and make sure they are clean and dry. If necessary, repeat the cleaning process until the glasses are properly cleaned.
- Put the glasses in the case
Always store your cleaned glasses in a sturdy glasses case when you are not wearing them. This protects them from scratches and damage.
SUNGLASSES
Do not use sunglasses for direct observation of the sun! Do not use sunglasses while driving or at night. The glasses must not be exposed to UV radiation from artificial sources, do not use them for indoor tanning!
ADJUSTMENT
The frame can be easily and individually adjusted to any head shape. This adjustment must be carried out by opticians.
MAINTENANCE
Have your glasses serviced regularly, we recommend once a year, by your optician. The glasses should be optimally adjusted again, screws should be tightened and ultrasonic cleaning should be carried out if necessary.
WARRANTY
In the event of material or manufacturing defects in the frame, we provide a warranty in accordance with the statutory provisions. Defects due to accidents, improper or abusive use (impact, shock, shattering, prolonged contact with water), defects due to modifications, repairs or interventions by persons who are not authorised to do so, as well as the consequences of normal wear and tear or ageing of the frame are not covered by the warranty.
